This project presents a serious artistic and publicistic analysis of the wide range of nonconformist art in the USSR, which envelopes the period from the Stalin "Cold War" to Gorbachev glasnost. Most of nonconformist artists and their works are still unknown to the wide audience in Russia and CIS. The project has to fill this gap.

The documentary shows this theme in its social and cultural aspect and gives an objective picture of the USSR informal art’s historical development in 1953-1988.
